The Los Angeles Dodgers headed to the White House on Monday to celebrate the 2024 World Series championship. President Trump spoke a few minutes about the Dodgers World Series win and could even see them back at the White House next year.

"After seeing how successful you've begun this season, I can tell you that you can plan on being back here," President Donald Trump said, addressing a jam-packed East Room with the Commissioner's Trophy to his right. "I hope you're going to be back here next year.

Manager Dave Roberts spoke out about the opportunity to visit the Oval Office and being introduced by President Trump.

"I actually got a chance to take a photo in front of the Declaration of Independence," Roberts said Monday of the national treasure hanging in the Oval Office.

President Trump called Dodgers manager Dave Roberts “one of the greatest managers ever to wear the Dodger blue,” and he also notably shook hands with Mookie Betts, who back in 2019 had opted not to visit the White House when he was a member of the 2018 World Series champion Boston Red Sox.

The longest tenured Dodger and future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw spoke on behalf of the team, presenting Trump with a No. 47 Dodgers jersey.

"The selflessness and humility that each one of these players and staff have shown over the last year is truly an inspiration," Kershaw said. "They have constantly played hurt, switched positions and taken the ball to put the team first. As a spectator for our championship run last year, I was in awe of this group."

The Los Angeles Dodgers have now won two World Series titles in the last 4 years and are off to a tremendous start, sitting at 9-4 through their first 13 games.
