Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona underwent a successful cardiac ablation procedure Thursday afternoon at the Cleveland Clinic. The procedure was done to correct an irregular heartbeat that was detected through monitoring of his heart rhythm.
Francona is resting comfortably at the Cleveland Clinic and is expected to make a full recovery. He should be discharged in the next 24-48 hours. Francona will not manage the AL All-Stars at the MLB All-Star Game in Miami. He is expected to be back in the dugout on Friday July 14th when the mythical second half of the baseball season begins in Oakland.
