Welcome to a new Era of sports radio in northeastern Ohio. For those that haven't noticed, I'm no longer doing Sports Rap from 3-6. My show is now on Monday-Friday from Noon-3pm. Munch on Sports is the new show that can be heard Monday-Friday from 3-6pm on The Sports Animal 1390.
One of the things that we have been wanting to accomplish on The Sports Animal 1390 is six continuous hours of local/regional sports talk for our listeners. With these moves the mission is accomplished.
Now I'll be honest with you, I wasn't a fan of this move when I was told the plan. In fact, my first reaction was to quit and move on with a post-radio life. Then I realized that this decision was for the good of the station and that I should soothe what little ego that I have.
At the end of the day, this is a great move for the radio station and a great move by I-Heart Media. It's an exciting time to be working along side Munch Bishop and, as always, I look forward to hearing from our loyal listeners.
